Satchel Planning & Design provides stress free wedding planning and a custom design experience for New Orleans' brides and beyond. Our mission is to provide guidance and handle the details efficiently, while creating an event tailored perfectly to you! Josie Azuma and Jane Taylor are wedding and event planners based in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Hey it's Jane!
While I have been working with Josie since 2016, I recently became the owner of Satchel (essentially we switched roles)!
I started doing day-of coordination for weddings back in 2012 as a side hustle while I was teaching Middle School.
Quickly, I realized that my knack for making to-do lists and color-coordinating, combined with my ability to stay calm and collected in front of 32 13-year-olds at a time made me a natural for this job.
Over the last four years, I have learned so much about the industry and the process from Josie and I am so excited to take on this role as owner and lead production manager!
Created for those couples seeking assistance towards the end of planning, this popular package begins at $1750.
We believe every couple and their family deserve to have someone on their side on the wedding day.
Someone to confirm vendors, manage vendor set-up, style photos, problem-shoot, set-up their personal items, and take everything down at the end of the night.
Month-of coordination begins 4-6 weeks before your wedding day with a big meeting.
After that we create your wedding documents, tie-up loose ends, communicate with and confirm your vendors, and manage your rehearsal and wedding day.
Event Management & Production is a planning service offered to those couples who want the resources and planning ease of having a professional planner on board.
The "management" part of this package provides you with information and personalized checklists upon booking, helping you structure your timeline and budget, and offering unlimited e-mail/text access throughout your planning for any questions.
The "Production" part of Event Management & Production entails everything we do in the month leading up to the wedding and the weekend of to seamlessly produce your event.
Full service planning begins at $5,700 and was created for those couples seeking a fully curated event.

With Event Management & Production, day-of coordination is included, but the package is tailored to allow extra time for tackling any last-minute issues that come up with your vendors in the confirmation process.
By focusing on the month-of, we can step in before the big weekend to finalize plans, adjust plans, and learn all about exactly how you want the event set-up/styled--basically familiarizing ourselves with everything you've been doing to ensure that we can execute your day to perfection!
