It is love that founded Mermaid Pictures and Printing.
Our founder, Martin, vacationed in Turks and Caicos Islands in the late 1990s and immediately fell in love with the area.
He was in awe of the vibrant colors, the soft beaches, and the smooth trade winds of Turks and Caicos Islands.
At the first opportunity he had, he moved to the area to make it his home.
Martin was born in Bogota, Columbia and was raised in both the US and Germany.
He received formal photography training in Los Angeles, where he later opened his own studio, PenguinOne Studios in 2001.
