Kahu Jaudon Koakanupalekaluhikahikio'ewa (Koko) Kaneali'i was born on O'ahu and moved to Kaua'i in 1979. Descended from Ali'i he integrates the protocol passed down through his family line into his non-denominational ceremony. He is also a professional musician, entertainer, artist, and educator. In 2009 he had the opportunity to appear with his band KanakAttack in the George Clooney movie The Descendants that was filmed at Tahiti Nui in Hanalei.

Julie Kaneali'i was born in Oregon and moved with her family to Maui in 1975 where she attended and graduated from Lahainaluna High School. On Kaua'i since 1983 she has been very active in the community, working, and paddling canoe. Our combined experience and island resources will help make your wedding day an unforgettable Kaua'i experience. We know the island and it's culture, let us share it with you.
Services
For the Bride: A fragrant white flower usually pikake (jasmine) or tuberose, may also be orchid.
A Lei Po'o is worn on the head like a crown.
Haku or Wili is the style of weaving the flowers and ferns together.

For the Groom: Maile is traditional.
Maile is a leaf that grows on a vine and is twisted together with one or two additional vines.
The fragrant maile grows only on Kaua'i.
Whether it's a marriage, vow renewal or same-sex ceremony this is your day and should be everything you want it to be.
We'll send you a copy of Koko's non-denominational ceremony in advance to make sure he is the Kahu (minister) you're looking for.
You'll then have the opportunity to make changes or additions to the vows.
Rituals that are meaningful to you may also be included.
There are many cultural aspects included in his ceremony which he is more than happy to explain to you.
Kahu will give you a copy of your ceremony as a keepsake.
