Today, everyone is a photographer. Smiles are constantly being captured and stored on phones and in hearts. Moments from concerts, birthday parties, weddings, and holidays are readily frozen and stored to a cloud, a phone, or a computer desktop. Commissioning a photographer to step in to your life and capture aspects of the beauty of your family, friends, or wedding is one of the greatest investments you can make for the future of your memories.

I still cherish the photos of my grandmother on her wedding day, the still portraiture work of my great grandparents; I have photos of my grandfather's travels around the world hanging in my house. Yet, I also have over 16 terabytes of images locked away on my computer unlikely to be seen, printed, or passed on to my children and grandchildren. So, is hiring a professional photographer even worth it?

Worth the money, time, planning and consideration? I mean, we all have iPhones and cameras at our fingertips, and it is even getting easier to print directly from your phone.

Sage and I have been working together only since December, but already it feels like we have known each other so much longer than that!
We became fast friends, and I immediately fell in love with her modern and clean style, but more importantly, her humble, gracious, and warm heart.
We have had SO MUCH FUN shooting together, and I cannot wait to see where this path leads us both.
Weddings will always be my first love, but when it comes to other fun projects, working with Sage and other fashion influencers just can't be beat!
So, we planned to have a quick wedding.
James is Australian, so there were Visa issues to work out, and we wanted to go ahead and get our together-life started.
We met in February, he proposed in March, and we were to be married in July in New Braunfels, Texas on the tail end of our family's week-long reunion.
Celebrating 5 years of marriage today.
I remember looking forward to this day our first year of marriage, thinking--"man, we are going to be so good five years down the line!"
This is so often our life.
My absolute favorite part of taking photos is getting to be a really unique part of something special, capture it, and then help others to see the beauty of it.
I aim to record authentic moments and genuine interactions by fostering a fun and relaxed environment.
I use gentle direction and years of experience to build such moments in both a flattering and natural progression.
My goal with photography is to always be improving, exploring, expanding, while offering up the most comfortable, fun, easy, chill, reliable, and consistent product.
There are so many options and so many choices on your wedding day.
It can be completely overwhelming for some to even know where to start.
And then how do you choose?
Well, I always say a referral is worth 2 in the bush.
Wait, that's not right?
But you know what I mean.
The below vendors are those I have either worked with directly on many occasions, or vendors that have been on the forefront of the Houston wedding scene and have proven themselves to be creative, innovative, humble, service-minded, kind, accommodating, and amazing humans over years of service to the city and beyond.
Photography is all about finding the light--simply telling your story through the images that dance across my lens.
The silly, the incredible, the stomach-so-full-of-feelings that could come out at any moment.
The weird, the darling, the steadiness of your love, the rock that you find in each other, the comfort and ease, the chaos, and everything in between.
This is what I look for-and that is what makes up your love story.
My photography style is a strong combination of fine art photography and photojournalism--giving a nod to the more technical aspects of posing, composition, light, and creativity in images, as well as capturing the day as it happens with as little interruption as possible--knowing where to be, when to be there, and what to look for.
