I love arriving on a wedding day as an old friend. An old friend, with a big camera & a suitcase full of lenses (that's how most "old friends" arrive, right?) I love arriving with a big smile on my face, congratulations on my lips, arms outstretched (for a hug, of course!), and legs ready to dance the night away!

By the time your wedding day rolls around, we will have met over coffee (or via FaceTime), hopefully hung out for a few hours for an epic engagement session, worked together to created a detailed timeline of your wedding day, as well as compiled a strategic family formals list. We'll have sent many emails & texts back-and-forth ironing out details & fine-tuning our plan for the happiest day of your life.

After all that time & work, I'm definitely walking into the room you're getting ready in as an old friend. I love having the "old friend" title so much more than "wedding vendor." I love what I do. I promise to smile all day long, and I won't be able to help myself but dance at your reception.

Seriously, whenever someone tells me that they are getting married, I get goose bumps - because omigosh - weddings are SO exciting!
So, definitely imagine me all giddy & goose-pimply right now!
There are a lot of "fads" when it comes to photography & my goal is to avoid all of them.
I never want my images to date themselves simply because of the post-processing that was added to them.
My goal is for my photos to be as true-to-life as possible: I love green greens, blue blues, & creamy skin tones.
And before you write me off as a super self-centered person, let me explain - wedding photography is an incredibly personal experience, so I want to make sure that we are a good fit!
There is literally no one you will spend more time with on your wedding day than your photographer.
In other words, let's be friends - because who better to spend your wedding day with than your friend?
Derrick - my roller coaster obsessed, YouTube content-creator husband.
We celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this year (not sure how that's possible).
Kara shot our wedding roughly 1 1/2 years ago.
We were so happy with her professionalism and quality of work.
There was not a single picture we didn't love.
Since then, I have been in multiple weddings and my bridesmaids have been in multiple weddings/had their own weddings.
Unfortunately, Kara was not the photographer for those weddings.
Let me tell you, those photographers made me appreciate the amazing work Kara does even more!
My bridesmaids, who met Kara the day of my wedding, have said multiple times how wonderful Kara is.
