Questions
What types of events work best with butterfly releases?
Butterfly releases enhance weddings, funerals, memorials, quinceañeras, bat mitzvahs, and corporate events. Our team helps coordinate timing and logistics for optimal visual impact during any outdoor ceremony.
How do the educational butterfly kits work?
Our growing kits include live caterpillars, habitats, and instructions for observing metamorphosis. Students and families can watch the complete lifecycle from caterpillar to chrysalis to adult butterfly over 3-4 weeks with minimal maintenance.
What's the difference between Monarch and Painted Lady butterflies?
Monarchs are iconic orange-and-black butterflies with superior flight visibility, while Painted Ladies offer similar visual impact at lower cost. Both species are raised ethically and released following strict welfare guidelines to ensure successful post-release survival.
How should I store plantable seed paper favors before my event?
Store favors in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight until distribution. When planted, they grow wildflowers that support local pollinators. Instructions for planting are included with each order to ensure successful germination.
What happens if weather disrupts an outdoor butterfly release?
We provide contingency planning guidance for weather-related changes. Butterflies can be released indoors at temperatures above 60°F or rescheduled if necessary. Our team works with clients to develop backup plans that maintain the event's emotional significance.
How does purchasing support butterfly conservation?
Our breeding programs help sustain monarch populations while educating the public about habitat preservation. Each purchase includes resources about milkweed planting and pollinator-friendly gardening practices to extend conservation efforts beyond event day.
