Hang your gown in a high place (on a ceiling hook if possible) with the train hanging straight down.
Place several safety pins on the underneath side of your gown where they won't be seen, but easily accessible for emergencies like bustles or straps breaking or a tear in your gown.
If you get mud, dirt, blood or spills on a synthetic fiber try water and a small amount of liquid soap then rinse and blot.
You can use a hair dryer to finish drying it.
Keep the hair dryer at least 6 inches away from the gown.
