We are A Splendid Affair Wedding & Event Planning & Design, a floral and wedding design company founded by TJ, also known as The Barefoot Florist. Our background in architecture and interior design, studied at Long Beach State, perfectly segued into our passion for floristry. After spending twenty years in southern California, we relocated to southern Illinois to be closer to family. We brought a touch of west coast sunshine to our operations. Initially located in Carbondale, we eventually moved our business to a gorgeous historic 1885 foursquare in downtown Carterville.
Through significant renovation and sweat equity, we transformed this vintage property into a comfortable meeting space for our clients. We possess a lifelong passion for garden design and horticulture. We leverage this expertise to solve design challenges and meticulously plan lush wedding florals.
