Family owned and operated, Bessie's Barn is the ultimate venue of uniqueness and charm. Bessie's Barn was creatively built by Nick and Kim Hindley and family in 2012 using old barn wood collected from barns around Iowa, giving the inside a very rustic look with tin ceilings, old hard wood floors, stain glass windows, and old wagon wheels. Located in rural Centerville, Iowa, Bessie's Barn is perfect for all of your special events.
Bessie's is a very large two-story barn with seating for approximately 500 guests. We have air conditioning and heat, so you are able to book your weddings year-round. We have a full kitchen with lots of serving pieces, a full bar with bartenders included, his-and-her dressing rooms, and lots of decorations for use at no extra cost to you, as well as all of the tables and chairs in the barn.
We have two gazebos outside, as well as lots of beautiful scenery and props for pictures - have your wedding inside or outside! We make new and improved changes to the barn all the time, if you have a suggestion or approve of one of our new additions/changes shoot us an email!

For the dates in 2018, 2019, and even 2020, the weekend rental package is $4000 (including tax).
The wedding party can come in Friday morning to spend the day setting up, Saturday all day for the ceremony/reception, and Sunday morning (until noon) to clean up.
The space is yours for the weekend - feel free to have your rehearsal and dinner here on Friday night as well as a brunch and/or to open gifts on Sunday morning if you would like.
Yes, we have round tables and chairs that you can use for your guests as well as longer tables with toppers for the food/cake tables and/or the head table.
