Your naturally-curly, overly-sarcastic, obsessed-with-small-town-life photographer! I've made it my goal in my photography to career to cater each couple's experience to their exact needs. I realize that some couples need a lot of direction. They need to be told exactly where to stand and what to do with their hands. Other couples need hardly any coaching and fall right into comfortably moving through poses on their own.
I take the time to pay attention and gauge what a couple needs so their experience with me produces photos that look natural and easy! The boat was actually Plan C, the church was Plan B, and Plan A was marrying her a long, long time ago. Pretty much the day I met her. We had such a great experience working with Emily and loved our engagement and wedding photos.
She is truly a talented photographer and knows how to capture amazing moment in the most perfect locations. Emily spent our entire wedding day with us and worked hard to capture every meaningful moment and more!

I've been a full time Sioux City and Omaha wedding photographer for 7 years, mostly because I'm obsessed with wedding cake (not really, but it's definitely a nice perk!)
I currently live in Onawa, Iowa (just an hour north of Omaha!) with my husband, Derek, and my two pups, Nala and Josie.
I love where I live, because Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Des Moines, Omaha, and Lincoln are all within reach!
Not only that, but a flight to Denver is super quick and I make my way out there about 6 times a year!

In fact, my school literally made a class for me and I taught myself from a book.
They called it an "independent study."
From there, I was hooked!
I studied photography in college and got my bachelor's degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in photography.
I even had a dark room in my basement for a bit!
All that to say, over 10 years!.
A: I've photographed over 150 weddings as the lead photographer, and I've had over 400 portrait sessions.
