Fill the sky with a butterfly release of beautiful Monarch butterflies, Painted Lady butterflies, or, in Florida, our Florida native mixture of butterflies, and make your wedding or other special occasion truly a memorable event. As the bride and groom exit the church or reception, releasing a flight of butterflies instead of throwing birdseed or confetti will create a lasting memory of the event for bride, groom and wedding guest alike.

Inside the State of Florida, we offer as an option our beautiful Florida native mixture butterfly release which includes Monarch butterflies complimented by other species (as available). For butterfly releases in states outside Florida, we offer Monarch butterflies (east of continental divide) and Painted Lady butterflies for release. The butterflies are shipped as adults and packaged ready for release.

For your very special occasion, personalized release envelopes are provided to fit the occasion and theme. We also offer organza release containers and hanging cages for mass release option.
Services
Monarch butterflies are available for release states east of the continental divide.
Painted Lady butterflies are available throughout most of the lower 48 states.
The Florida Mixture butterfly release is available in FL only.
All wedding photographs were sent to us by very satisfied clients and used with permission.
The USDA limits the butterfly species that may be shipped across state lines, but inside the state, we can release any butterfly as long as it is native and raised in state.
The beauty of the release is the number of different butterflies taking to the air.
The most common way butterflies are released is from individual personalized paper release envelopes passed out to the guests and/or wedding bridal party.
Releasing the butterflies individually like this is a more personal experience for everyone.
We also offer organza containers or hanging cages for mass release and display if this is preferred (scroll down page for info).
Combination of container/hanging cage and release envelopes for guests is also available.
Each butterfly is inside a triangular envelope.
Aside from their beauty, the butterflies you release will enter the natural kingdom in the area and, locating suitable habitat, reproduce, increasing the numbers of the butterflies locally.
Even though the butterflies have been raised in protected conditions, they are not domesticated.
They are as wild as their counterparts that exist in the area.
Butterflies are also important pollinators.
Most consider the little worker bees common around as the more efficient pollinators, and they are very efficient, but the honey bees we are familiar with are not native to North America.
When the butterflies arrive, open the top of the package and remove the papers.
Store the butterflies in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight or other light source until ready to transport to the event.
This will keep them calm.
For overnight storage, replace the ice pack with a fresh one upon arrival and then again for overnight (refreeze original).
You may remove the boxes containing the butterflies to a regular picnic cooler if available.
Place the boxes on a paper towel and ice packs at the opposite end of the cooler for overnight storage.
