Aryk Copley Photography
My name's Aryk (pronounced like Eric), I'm a Sonoma County wedding and portrait photographer based in my hometown of Santa Rosa. I'm a self-taught artist and professional who built my skills from the ground up. I have a love of photographing people, especially in capturing the genuine moments between them. My skills in photojournalism and street photography combined with my love of fine art portraiture are the foundation of my wedding photography.

I've been in the wedding industry since I was fifteen. I've been everything from a waiter, to a cook, to a photobooth operator, to a photographer. Having spent time in many of the cogs of the industry, I know what makes a wedding tick: communication and teamwork. My role as a photographer is not just to take photos. I'm here to answer questions, provide support, tell stories, sometimes pet some dogs, and produce an album of artwork and documentation unique to you and your wedding day.

Working with Aryk was amazing! He's thoughtful, punctual, professional, intuitive, kind, creative and every good thing you'd want a person to be who's going to capture a one-of-a-kind day.
Services
My name's Aryk, I'm a wedding and couples photographer based out of my hometown of Santa Rosa, CA.
I've been taking photos for over four years now, and have shot all over California, from San Diego to Shasta, Lake Tahoe to Glamis.
I'm a huge believer in photography as an art form, and try to show that through my work.
I love the beauty of the outdoors, especially when captured on old-school film.
In addition to wedding and couples, I'm also a photojournalist, street photographer, and travel photographer.
80% of the time I'm approaching shooting as a documentarian, aiming to let my couples be themselves and interact as if nobody is watching!
I have a strong knowledge of posing to help my clients, but I also know when to step back and let people be people, and I'm always primed to capture those unmistakable moments.
Organic, illustrative, journalistic.
Fine art, but with some punch.
The way I shoot and edit will also change slightly depending on several factors: you and your partner, the venue, the lighting, and the energy of the wedding.
Wedding pricing varies greatly depending on what you're looking for.
Good wedding photography is a valuable commodity, and it's important that you know what you're paying for.
That's why I custom tailor every package to the needs of each individual couple.
Most couples end up investing between $3,000 and $4,000 for their photography.
What are you paying for?
Let's break it down.
Professional quality, timeless style.
Me and my personal expertise, artistic eye, and photo-making ability is all yours for your wedding day.
Engagements are the best way for us to get to know each other.
Don't get me wrong, I love weddings; the action, the people, the romance.
But engagements give both me and my couples time to slow down.
I love getting to know my couples with an engagement shoot before their wedding, because I get to see them as they are around just each other.
That intimacy is what's unmatched for me.
Plus, the flexibility in location opens up lots of possibilities!
I know lots of beautiful locations around the Bay Area and Norcal to capture your engagement; Crane Creek Park in Rohnert Park is my personal local favorite.
See that guy with the big cheesy smile?
That's my best friend of over 10 years with his wonderful partner of four years.
It took me months to convince these two to get in front of the camera, as they're both camera-shy, but the moment they started to be themselves I captured some of the most beautiful, goofy, genuine moments between them.
This is the shoot that got me to fall in love with photographing couples.
There's a lot of ways to go about couples sessions.
Homebodies?
No problem, I'm happy to offer in-home couples sessions.
