The Sanctuary is a Cincinnati event space propelled by community. Each year, hundreds of socially conscious couples, business leaders, and community members host weddings, concerts, performances, business meetings and community gatherings that create positive momentum in Cincinnati. When you choose The Sanctuary, 100% of your event proceeds go directly to Community Matters, our non-profit working to create a thriving and more just community in Lower Price Hill.

In times of celebration and gathering, we grow our relationships, experiences, and senses of community. Every business meeting, wedding, performance, and fundraiser booked at The Sanctuary allows our neighbors in Lower Price Hill to call the space their own and use it free of charge for their own celebrations and gatherings. Unlike any other creative, historic event space in Cincinnati, the events booked here directly power family bonding and community empowerment.

read more › The Sanctuary is a social enterprise of the non-profit organization, Community Matters. The space is a cornerstone of the Lower Price Hill community, serving as the primary place for family celebrations and community events. Community Matters exists to build a thriving community alongside the residents of Lower Price Hill. All of the proceeds from The Sanctuary support the programs at Community Matters such as, our food pantry, affordable housing, community laundromat, and education programs. In 1847, a group of forty-five residents, living along the river from the Mill Creek to Sedamsville, met for the purpose of raising funds for a church and school.

When you hold your Special Event at the Sanctuary, you are providing much needed revenue for Community Matters. Your event builds up your group and staff while also building up the Lower Price Hill Community! For each event, we offer wireless Internet access, space for on-screen projections, and excellent acoustics to promote audio clarity.

The Sanctuary is full of story and charm. The main space offers a beautiful meeting room with stained glass windows, original hardwood floors, and commercial kitchen.

Centrally located just 3 minutes from Downtown Cincinnati, The Annex features affordable, flexible office, studio, and live/work spaces ideal for a variety of needs. Spaces connect to The Sanctuary, a community art and cultural event space, at the heart of our beautifully renovated, historic campus. Current tenants include MUSE | Cincinnati's Women's Choir and Healthy Homes Block by Block. Rental pricing starts at $300/month, including utilities. Spaces available in the West Annex and East Annex and range in size from 150-1,300 square feet.

read more › Our team will connect with you to learn more about your event, setup a tour, and book a date. We are still offering personal tours of The Sanctuary but we ask our guests to observe social distancing measures. Raine is new to the non-profit sector. She decided to forgo her corporate job in the Paralegal and Criminal Justice field, to pursue her passion and purpose to be of service to others. A recent graduate of Cincinnati Christian University with her BA in Ministry, she wishes to serve in every capacity that is presented or allotted to her.
